And that concludes all of the Vintage Dreams project I've been putting off for five years now. I'd like to make a new variation of each world (a Quartzon mix, Brimspark, Limefrost spiral) for each of the 4 songs, but I've been very busy lately. Got my CDL 3 years ago and drive trucks now, got engaged two years ago, and lost my father last year. Lots of changes. I simply don't have time to devote to Descent related stuff lately. I still pop Descent music on every now and then, of course. Y'all be good! Hopefully I get the D2 files done before 2030?

Theme of Level 23: A Road that Leads

Techno-style Drum&Bass, which manages to sound playful and evil at the same time.
A very interesting song for a very interesting level.

Description: Plays up the spooky aspect of Glut... in fact it plays that up to the extreme.  So extreme, that it feels like a cross between Glut and the Eggmanland music from Sonic Unleashed.
This is the theme of Fireclaw Smelting and Manufacturing in Maximum Vertigo.  Fireclaw is in reality a front for the Mad Scientists' League of Kith.  This song plays during the events that ultimately lead to the demise of Fireclaw and all its members.

This is actually a double correlation -- it also correlates with 'Overdrive' from the D1 MAC OST.

Used in: "Level Complete/Mine Destroyed" screen.

Notes: This was NOT used as background music for briefing screens. Briefings were read by the same computer voice that famously notifies you when "self destruct sequence activated" has been initiated upon destruction of the mine's reactor. When you exit the mine, a cinematic cutscene plays, and after that, when the screen pops up that says, for example, "Level 1 Complete - Lunar Outpost Destroyed," this music plays. The song does give me the visualization of a mine in shambles.
