How many of you have had a chance to play Skyrim? I bought it a couple days after release, and instantly fell in love with the game. Im around Level 32 now, Mage/thief. What are you guys' thoughts on it? and if you play it, what Race/Class do you play?

My son plays this and I've watched with great interest. It has very rich environments and non-linear game-play, which keeps the game interesting and gives it a lot of replay value. I might try it if I can get it away from him.

I googled up the website but there is very little information about the game itself, doesn't seem to be any demos or even videos of the actual gameplay.

My point was that there is little info on the Skyrim site. That video didn't tell me much of anything anyway. Is it mainly a single player, or mmo, is it first person, etc... And sure I could probably Google up some reviews that would describe it in detail, but why is there nothing on the official website?

I've had skyrim for about 2 days now. Not really doing the main quest. I'm currently trying to advance my class first (Breton, Mage) so helping out around the college of winterhold, getting new magic items and spells. I enjoy getting headshots with ice darts, that is fun. I'm getting pretty good at it too. And during a quest for the college, I got the Freeze shout, and it's pretty awesome. (Mostly unrelated: I also have the full FUS RO DAH)

It seems alot tougher to earn money in skyrim than it was in oblivion, so trying to deal with that too. (Had over 40,000 gold in oblivion at one point, now I'm staying below 1,000 in skyrim at all times) It sucks because I want new mage robes so I can regenerate magicka faster, and have more in general. Although I do have 200.. It's not enough for a mage. Currently because of that, I'm an axe wielding mage, Ice Dart in one hand, War Axe in the other. It works pretty well.

Occasionally i'll use dual casting for tougher foes, hoping I'd get a headshot, which are usually one hit kills and send your enemy flying.

Anyway, yup, Skyrim is awesome.

...Oh.. And maybe a little obvious to everyone else except me, Don't use a blizzard spell indoors, it doesn't end well.

Nice video, the graphics look amazing and the game-play seems interesting. Sorry, I didn't watch the whole thing, I am sure the game wouldn't run well on my machine anyway.

Bump.

I just had a realization this morning.

Alduin the dragon is known as the harbinger of the apocalypse in Skyrim.
Our year of 2012 is known as our apocalypse year.
This year is the year of the dragon.

WE'RE SCREWED! Find the Dragonborn! Launch all fighters! Get the F-16's to the dogfights! Get the F-35's rolling into production now! Have the A-10's target the big ones! Get the AA moving! Place tanks around the AA! Have the IFVs and APCs cover the middle ground between the tanks and AA! Infantry guard the big cities!

COVER YOUR KNEES, WATCH OUT FOR ARROWS!
