I think I liked the black background color for posts the old theme had better, but I'm slowly getting used to the blue.

Though I still think the blue's too bright...

which blue? from PD dark or light?

The light is nice; the light blue here could be of a darker blue. but I'm not complaining.

You mean Signal + noise to noise ratio, don't you :P.
No, I am meaning signal to noise ratio. You can form a ratio out of these two alone, you know? What you are computing is a percentage of the total information, not a direct comparison.

Take some more lessons, will you? :P (Math would be a good idea)

I couldn't resist either.

Vanguard,

I found it. It's at the very top of the "look and layout" page. Literally, it says "Current theme: Forum or Board Default (change)", where "change" is a link. This is as counter-intuitive as ever possible. All the other selections have drop down boxes. This one is hard to notice.

All the available themes are bloody unreadable for me. These background rows with the irregular shapes in them are way too obtrusive. The color scheme hurts my eyes. With the previous software version I had a theme using black text on white background. Very tidy and highly readable.

PD light has blue posts in it?  :o

It's PD dark.  ;) I think the blue should at the very least be several shades darker.

I think that's what WillyP was shooting for with PD light. Guess he didn't succeed...  :-\

Bug with the default theme -- the code box text color is white. The code box bg color is white

Code: [Select]
therefore I'm not all that readable

I'm curious. Why is there a help section when all it talks about is "Tinyportal"? I think it'd be nicer in the "tinyportal" menu.

looks like all emoticons have now changed. a combo of  8) and  >:( . someone not happy with sunglasses :)

And I've been looking for an excuse to use this one:  :-X

I used mine a while back. I think I just had some : and an X, or : - X and with this update, it showed exactly what I wanted.

I agree, the help section is not the place to plug the software. I am going to re-write the menu, but priorities are paid work first. I just haven't had the time to spend here as I would like.
