My IIRC is that the adapters, other than Grendal's, did not work as correctly, I forget what the complaint was.

Just FYI, there tends to be a bit of confusion on this, so to clarify:

The 'passive' USB-to-gameport adapters for the "85791" Precision Pros work just as well as Grendel's converter, because the USB/digital interface is already in place in those sticks.

Any other USB-to-gameport adapter for a 3DPro or Precision Pro will provide less functionality than Grendel's converter because it puts the stick in a limited "emulation" mode (some buttons won't work and the hat is limited to 4-way).

we always get off topic. What's so wrong with that? At the dinner table, families, like myself and others, will go from one topic to another.

a way to split topics? kind of sounds neat, but could see it get split up even more
