It appears that the "sprite" (red dots) shows the point at which the person's connection "uploads" to the Internet.  Could be a variety of places depending on the connection uplinks used by your ISP ... or in the case of DSL ... the point at which your DSL moves from the DSL phone line (your phone carrier) to your actual ISP or the provider providing connectivity for your ISP and where they uplink to the Internet.

I'm the one in Concord. Concord is the city next to Pembroke, usually when a website identifies my location it guesses Bow, which is next to Pembroke and Concord.

So far mine has been pretty close. It locates me in Gardendale, which is (oddly) a small town just a few miles southeast of my town here in Alabama. My girlfriend works in Gardendale, so I'm there a good bit anyway.  ;)
