I could see Flight Back looking something like that. It would look good as it is.

That image comes straight from D1. complain to them

(and when you are done with that, complain to them how you see shiva near some other outer planets in the briefings)

So that's what you see in the foreground in the Uranus briefings?  I thought those were the orbital processing stations where you re-armed and re-fueled after each level (Dravis mentions that in the level 1 briefing), and the Martian one was mentioned in Descent Equinox if I remember right (Eta-Sigma Station).

One mess-up I noticed in the D1 briefings is that they switched the names of level 20 and 21.  (The briefings call level 20 Oberon Platinum Mine and level 21 Oberon Iron Mine, but the actual titles of the levels are reversed as you see in the automap and the end-level scores).

In the end briefing, "PTMC" is actually misspelled (spelt PMTC). :P

I had always assumed those stations in the briefings were like sister stations to Shiva, and served as something like refueling stations, like Alter-Fox suggested, and probably just a place for MD to stop off and rest after blowing up a mine or two.

Though, they DO look eerily identical to Shiva. :P

I always use low-res spacy images, so here's a modification of that theme -- a badly rendered grassland

I should add some trees and a gothic monastery. Would add to the theme

The sky in that picture looks incredible.

Maybe it's a common design plan.

Good thing the CED figured out which one was the right one to attack at the end of D3. :P

Here's me desktop for February.  I had this as my background a few months ago but I really really like this picture so it's going to be my desktop picture again.  I think it's of the German Graf Zeppelin on an expedition to the north pole, but I can't 100% remember.  The picture stood out to me because of my [nerdy] fascination with the steampunk scene.

Cool Darc!

Heh, my computer likes to reorganize my icons for me.  ::)

Mmm! I cannot post my desktop yet. It's top secret until the Picture Contest is over, but WillyP will know. ;)
