It sounds like I have a job. I'm sort of taking a chance, it's from the lovely Pro Staff temp agency. They did say this job is temp, but the company does typically hire people after a month or so. So my thing is, if this is a temp job, I won't waste a year or two only to be laid off, and if it's permanent, then I'll know soon & things will be great :)

I took a deeper chance. The eve of my first day (Friday), I got a call from another agency. They had a better paying job in a location I prefer. Thing is, if I accept, they would contact the job to see if I even get it. I had to make a desicion that day. Accept the new job offer, with no guarantee on getting it, while losing the job I do have, or go in that friday, and lose a chance with a better pay & location.
I've known Pro Staff too long, and this temp to hire is getting old. They had screwed me with unemployment, which did piss me off some. But its business, nothing personal. Its also not my agency now. That should tell you what desicion I made.
no word from that better paying/location job. I'll be fine though. Feels like I have been seeing so many (phantom) jobs go by these past two months. I am sure i'll catch something soon. Just wait and see. I'll have something :)

I know the feeling...
At least I've managed to get a few paying contracts, offline and on.

I had my job interview and it went well. Not only do they want me, and to work 40-60 hours a week, but they want to bring me on full time, after my 480 hours working under the other agency. Where is that excited/happy dancing sort of smiley hey? :)

Very happy!
