I need a texture number!

Can anyone tell me the texture number or file name used for brick patterns in D1? To jog your memory if needed, they were most memorably in D1 Level 13 in that area where, from the start, if you go straight and down through the cloaked Lifters, then hang a left... that area there... it has a hole in the floor with a ladder going down to a bricked area. For some reason, bricks aren't appearing as hi-res anymore since I updated D2X-XL, and I wonder what texture pack that file was in. I updated rocks, etc. but no cigar.

The screen shot below is from The Enemy Within, Level 17 "Descent Dreams", which is technically a modded D2 game, but this texture is not appearing in hi-res in both D1 and this form of D2. I don't know if this pattern was in the original D2, so I couldn't begin to look for where it is if it is, in fact, in regular D2.

Yeah that happens to my screenshots too.  Try launching the game from Steam and taking the screenshots from Steam instead of from the game.

The wall texture is called rock097, and the floor texture is rock100.  Both of them are D1 only and I don't think I have ever seen hires versions of the wall texture in D2X-XL.  Come to think of it I don't think I've seen them in the First Strike campaign outside of level 13.

They weren't commonly used textures in the original campaign, no. See them all the time in the custom levels, though. :D

Interesting screenshot, any idea what causes it to look like that?

Okay, thanks for those numbers. Now... I was looking at my texture folder for D2X-XL, and here is the hi-res form on rock097 and rock100. What I can't understand is why it isn't showing up in-game? The textures are in both the D1 and D2 texture folders.

I just hate to play when everything looks all shiny and upgraded, and then there's this one bad graphic. I've noticed that there's even some metal textures that are low res as well. Is there a setting I don't have enabled or something? All this since I've upgraded to 1.16.XX.. I forget the third number... was it 14? Whatever the newest one is. It auto-updated a couple of days ago.

Try deleting the contents of your cache folder.  D2X-XL will have to recompute lightmaps for all levels but I think it will also have to re-search for all the textures.
And apparently I don't have those two hires textures.  Mind sending them to me?

Let's see if this works... Okay, I cleared my cache folder. Let me try playing TEW Level 17, and D1 Level 13.

Ugh! I don't get it! Those rock patterns are still low-res in D2'S The Enemy Within, Level 17, yet Hi-Res in D1 Level 13!

Because those textures aren't part of D2, the POG file which replaced some of that level's textures with D1 textures would have used the lores D1 version to be compatible with all versions of D2.

At the very start, it uses those small PTMC monitors as seen on D1 Level 21.

When you play TEW Level 17, do you experience a few low res items throughout the level/game?

Yes.  But I'm planning to modify the POG so I don't when I do my hotshot playthrough.  Unfortunately there's at least one (other) texture in that map that has no hires version (the circular green rock walls from D1 level 18, 19, and 22).
