Descent1 original secret levels! To download these specail levels you need to format Dosbox in to your first hard drive (if you have two hardrives) Then type Descent specail secret levels!

people must be bored. At the mandriva site, I see a lot of people getting banned, new people posting websites, and other junk

Bringing attention to spam does not really strike me as a good idea
Bringing attention to it after it is over and the guilty banned seems silly, but that may just be me.

I could have deleted this thread when I banned the spammer, but there had already been a couple replies ... and this particular thread was harmless.

either someone very new to forums, bored, and/or a spammer.
I remember PlanetDescent.com being one of my first forums that I went to. You guys remember me? I think I was annoying and posting pointless nonsense topics/posts (remember, I'm talking about the past ;) )
I did something with changing my name, I think even my picture, but thinking more my name. I had "OWNED" or a slang close to that on my avatar, and I couldn't figure out why. I think people on there were annoyed with what I did.
I am not saying this person "isn't" a spammer. I'm willing to bet he/she is.
I guess most spammers will post links. Most will have long topics about nothing. this person is at least talking about Descent.
Again, could easily be a spammer. a unique one I guess.
The spammers I see on mandrivalinux are having links to sites and advertising whatever.

@Vanguard: Well, you could still be right about him. He only has 11 posts, and he's been here since 1/5/11. He COULD be a spammer that tries to show a human side at times. Remember that age thread he started? Never heard from him what his age was.
11 posts since the beginning of January for dinocrisisfan... hmmm.... makes ya think doesn't it?

Not really.
A lot of forums I go to I only post when I've decided I'm absolutely going to post, and I usually don't respond to topics like this - unless what I want to say fits in there. Sometimes I'll post a topic to try and find out more about the other people on the board. DescentBB even counts like that for me now.
I'm pretty sure on Gryphboard I have less than 10 posts, and I've been on there since September I think... Once I got on there I realized I wasn't as interested as I thought I was.
DinoCrisisFan comes across to me more as a well-meaning individual who's a little out of touch with this community compared to other places on the internet - it is different. In other places the main admin may not know almost everyone on the board, for example.
And if you want someone else who posts questions for others to answer but doesn't give an answer themselves, look at ThunderBunny.

I don't get the spammers. People that come on to waste their time and ours. I only waste your time :)
