I think Fi from Zelda: Skyward Sword was a bit annoying. Actually, all the talking was. ::) I just want to shoot things. maybe that's why I enjoyed the classic Doom/Descent games. you just shoot!
annoying annoying? Doom 3 taunts are. (yes, bought the BFG edition, thus is why Doom is on my mind)
oh......it's not a character, but how about the GPS in Midnight Club? EVERY time a cop is near, responding to a call because of you, someone has to contact you, so you don't see the GPS anymore.
I think that's it for now anyway.
Most annoying: I guess Fi from zelda. too much talking, pointless info.

I must change my vote to agree with Scyphi. Especially in the movies. But strangling wouldn't be fair to the actress.
Speaking of the actress, I remember seeing her in something else more recently. But I don't remember what...

I never considered Jar Jar Binks or Guidebot all that annoying. Don't know any of the others in the poll. Scrappy and Skeeter, gotta agree. Very annoying. But Skeeter was a good plot point, she was supposed to be an annoying character, whereas Scrappy just sucked.

I guess there is one I actually did find annoying, where it was sometimes hard to watch the show. Roseanne's sister in "Roseanne", Jackie I think.
I found her annoying. Hard to watch her at times.

Sorry Darkwing, but I have to confess that I never really found Wesley Crusher that annoying. A lot like how I didn't find Jar Jar Binks or Guide-Bot annoying, like WillyP.
Or the Duck hunt Dog....or Amy Rose...or Scratch and Grounder...
The others I don't really know well enough to comment on, or don't know at all. And I only know Scrappy by name. My mother would probably agree that he's a poor character though.

And how do you manage to make such an awesome gravelly voice sound so whiny? Whoever did that voice must be extremely gifted with a lack of voice acting skill.

sorry for the bump, but I found one ANNOYING!
For those who know Call of Duty, MW3. In the spec ops map "Flood the Market", you have Overlord (I think) tell you what to do in various places like every 5 seconds, I kid you not.
After you grab the computer/data, "Get to the rooftop!" Before even getting there, as fast as you can, it is mentioned at least a few more times I'd like to say. "I say again, get to the rooftop!" ALRIGHT ALREADY!!!! It's not like I can just leap up there! DANG!
And when the connection to the tower or whatever has been interrupted, "It's been interrupted, get to it to get a connection." 5 seconds later..."reestablish that connection!"
Not word for word, but he brings it up every 5-10 seconds, way more often than hearing D3's "We're in Danger!". It gets VERY VERY ANNOYING, especially on the most difficult setting. That alone makes it hard.

someone believes that the line in Descent 3, level 9, "We're in Danger!" is annoying.
try the one I posted, when you're getting shot at, there's chemical poisoning near you, and you can't go too far (to safety) without hearing Overlord bark orders at you every 5 or so seconds.
That is annoying.

I am writing a novel series and I am soon to publish the first book. I have an annoying character, but not in the sense that he is stupid, but that he is goooooood at what he does. He is very intelligent, very resourceful, foils plans, and loves to crash parties so to speak. Basically an overall troll. He has more resources at his disposal than the main character and may actually be more of a good guy than the main character. How about dem apples.

All this rain and flooding, has it foiled your neighborhood?

My neighborhood has been okay, but the water levels got crazy for a while. There were large ponds where no ponds had ever been, and the creek near my place which is normally just a foot wide or so was probably 30-40 feet wide.
Definitely tired of the rain, and hoping for the best for the folks up in the Boulder/Lyons/Longmont area who are still cut off.
