Don't complain, take a look at what Australia's getting.
-
Heh, around here it isn't actually too bad, so I'm not complaining. It's mostly just tons of accumulation. A few people in the area did suffer some property damage though.
I haven't seen what's been happening in australia, maybe I should.

Yep, my picnic table is completely buried. I'd post a pic but left my camera in Maine last weekend.

...left my camera in Maine last weekend.
Uh oh!

Trust me, I envy you.

I hate to say it, but those snowfall pics look strangely similar to what I see here at home every winter. :P
The midwest has gotten hit hard, though. I pity poor Chicago, it's like a snow-apocalyptic place over there at the moment, judging from the news reports I've been seeing.

looks like Minnesota to me. snow banks in areas, like my driveway, are over 5 feet tall. almost as tall as me, and I am 5' 6".

OMG! Y'all can keep that snow! Yikes!
People here in Houston just went through a very minor freeze last week, and Houston has all these intricate freeway systems, very high freeway corridors, etc., and because of one day of ice on the roads in 25 degree weather, there were 3 ice-related traffic fatalities... idiots.
I mean, if Houstonians can't even drive when it's 85, what makes 'em think they can drive in 25?

Texas just has too many highways. I am expecting for San Antonio to have its highways block out the sun over the entire city :o
-
I used to drive through SA going to West Texas and I'd always take the lower level of I-10 because of all the purdy lights underneath. That was fun... both upper and lower levels took you the same direction... but I'm sure it doesn't matter passing though town which level you take, but if you were to go to some other destination in town it might matter. Just a guess... I don't live there.

It used to be pretty normal around here, too, but we haven't had much snow last few years.
