Thanks, I'll use these in D2X-XL when you're all done. Looking forward to hearing what you make of D2_02 and D2_03 especially.
Do you use a soundfont to render the midis? If so where can I get it? I might want to use it in some of my music (I now have the DSK sf2 player working with FL Studio). I especially like the "echoes" instrument (e.g. in D1 game03 and D1 game13).
BTW - some nice guitars in this (credits) mix.
-
This is live hardware MIDI playback on an SB Live card with Silverspring Soundfont.
-
The echoes are really a "sizzly vox" instrument...
-
Silverspring is in a bit messy state ATM, but you can use it for separate instruments or just get the separate instruments...
-
Where can I get it? I don't really care how messy it is, I'd just be opening it for single instruments in a soundfont player VST.
-
Off the hard drive here :-)
Do you have SFArk (http://www.melodymachine.com/sfark.htm)? Get it, SS is compressed with that. Current version must be 1.7, something like that...
-
It's large, should be up tomorrow morning.
-
There're some other special instruments, like the stiffish Moog Bass (on programme 38, Synth Bass 1), PNS QS-300 Saw Wave, etc. which aren't part of Silverspring.
-
All music except Game02.mid up.
-
Okay, it's up. Silverspring-5.sfark (http://s-chapel.audiophileroom.com/Instruments/Silverspring-5.sfark).
-
Thanks! Downloading. :D
And yes, I do have SFArk.
-
Some extra stuff which isn't part of Silverspring...
Moog Mini V Bass (http://s-chapel.audiophileroom.com/Instruments/38%20-%20Moog%20Bass.sf2) - it's a bit different from the stiffy in most mixes, but it's sampled off a "real" virtual emulation Moog Mini V.
QS-300 Dance Saw (http://s-chapel.audiophileroom.com/Instruments/81%20-%20QS-300%20Dance%20Saw.sf2) - this is the one in most mixes, from Pink Noise Studio, and no longer up for download on their site.
Sine/Saw Warm Pad (http://s-chapel.audiophileroom.com/Instruments/89%20-%20Sine-Saw%20Warm%20Pad.sfark).
The "Stiffy" Moog Bass (http://s-chapel.audiophileroom.com/Instruments/Moogbass-stiff.sf2), this is set to programme 38, Synthesised Bass 1. It's the one playing most everywhere.
Metasaw (http://s-chapel.audiophileroom.com/Instruments/81%20-%20Metasaw.sf2), an experimental flanged/reverberated saw wave lead.
The Synthesised Drum (http://s-chapel.audiophileroom.com/Instruments/ASP-ECW-SD.sf2), which is just a copy of the one in the main bank, but it's small and nice to have anyway...
Sweeping Smoker Pad (http://s-chapel.audiophileroom.com/Instruments/95%20-%20Sweeping%20Smoker%20pad.sf2), which is a combination of Black Smoker and default Sweep Pad.
