Actually it reminds of the darkness of the level and that huge tunnel with two lanes, and tunnels curving up and down.

It wouldn't be good level music if it didn't -- especially this song, which has to sacrifice everything else to try and be perfect for the Hyperion Methane Mine (yes I have all level names memorized -- Except map 13 of Vertigo).
