This reminds me of the D3 level 4 music (Seoul City) combined with Empire City from Sonic Unleashed.  Very nice.  I think I hear the Ice Rain instrument from Abyss in here as well.  The saxophone is nice too, you don't hear that kind of instrument very much in video game music (or at least not done this well :D).This one's going on my Mp3 player along with the level 4 music for sure.

The music feels foreboding, as if the entire city is a Hosako trap.

Indeed it may have some influence from D3L4, as the level idea is inspired precisely by that level, although the city I will make will be more futuritic (slightly Coruscant-esque) and you will find some other surprises on the level as well. ;)

Oh, and nope, I didn't used the same Ice Rain instrument from abyss, but rather a bell pad from ReFX Nexus.

How much does ReFX Nexus cost?  It sounds like a good synth that would be worth my money.

BTW I'm looking forward to the new version of Colonies -- I loved the original mix of that song that used to be on your website.
