For easy streaming and linking of images and music, but for things that either I don't want to keep private or their private phase is over (for example if they have to do with a story and the story has been finished, this is the place they will go.  If the story is still in progress, they'd go in the private album.)  I will also use this to store my contributions to the Miner Wars soundtrack while they're in progress, to get peoples' opinions on them.  If one gets accepted into the game it will have to be removed though, unless I can disable downloads.

MINER WARS HAS RANDOM BRAINS IN JARS!!! January 27, 2013, 08:46:15 AM 28
What the title says.
I haven't encountered any random eyeballs in jars yet, sadly.
Descent Remake Storyline October 01, 2012, 06:26:59 PM 1
An idea for a storyline for some new Descent that combines 1, 2, and 3 into one game.  Basically mixes equal parts of D2 and D3 into another part D1.  Would work well for a singleplayer story for a Descent mod like Into Cerebron or the assumed upcoming Retrovirus Descent mod.

Take a look, the storyline itself makes a surprising amount of sense.  There's some ideas from Doom and, as Scyphi said, Dr Eggman, mixed in there, but they wouldn't be there if I didn't honestly think they were cool and necessary for a modern Descent.

Also this is being used by someone in their Descent conversion now... I shan't say more!

This door looks awfully familiar...
Predator - Turnabout Bore Breakbeat Remix September 27, 2011, 07:00:02 PM 110
Remix of the D2 level 2 theme.
Chaos Bolt August 23, 2011, 11:21:02 AM 369 3
Remix of Descent 2 Game 3

Keeps the percussive feel of the original and amps up the creepiness.
Musically, instead of making a couple of big changes to some parts, I made a whole lot of little changes to the key, melody, chord progression etc.  There's only really one big change in the melody and you hear it right away.

The other big changes are to the percussion to make the song feel more chaotic.  Including some cool filtering effects on the drums.

The Swarm

Deep inside the smelter I have found a killer swarm
Lancing homing flying box of death
The red ones are a challenge they can sneak in from behind
The blue one can make all the others stronger

All these flying death machines
Are made from what is mined here
Virally infected and then weaponized
All these flying death machines
Are made from ore refined here
They must be stopped destroy the smelter
Or they will reach earth

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Deep inside the smelter we have found an obstacle
Flying lancing flaming ship that must explode
Red ones you corner him
Blue ones you amplify them
Grey ones you deal the final blow

All these flying death machines
Are made from what is mined here
Virally infected and then weaponized
All these flying death machines
Are made from ore refined here
Virally infected and then weaponized
All these flying death machines
Are made from what is MINE here
They must be stopped destroy the smelter
Or they will reach my--

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Blast the flying box of doom

Dodge the homing rocket

Grab the upgrade green

x2

All the keys and reach the core
They can't fight me anymore
Go, blast away and start the countdown

Find the exit hatch
Kill the power patch
Head up, to the surface
I start to breathe again

Haywire August 18, 2011, 08:01:53 PM 463 6
An electro D&B remix of the Europa Mining Colony theme from D1.
It stays unusually close to the original but still adds on to it heavily.
Industrial Spill - Gravis Ultrasound Mix April 30, 2011, 01:55:32 PM 345 3
Recorded on an emulator of the old-school gravis ultrasound midi.
Sounds pretty good.
Clawed Hunters March 18, 2011, 08:59:12 AM 369
Pumo really liked this song (yes, song), and after considering for a while I decided to put it here.  Especially because it looks like our music may not make it into Descent for Wii, if it was going to I'd want to keep most of my songs secret.  This one would have been (may still be, though probably not likely), for level 17 of Vignettes, observatory row.
I'll post the lyrics later, I remember them but I don't have time to do anything other than copy-paste right now, and I can't find the document where I put them.

Easter Egg: If you cut out all the parts of the song that have lyrics, what you'll get is a probably pretty obvious remix of the Descent 1 game04 music.

If you like the song enough to download it, try it in Vertigo level 11 -- it fits.
InfilTraitor March 02, 2011, 05:28:31 PM 379 2
A mix of the styles of Gunner Down from D2 Redbook and the Starlight Carnival BGM from Sonic Colours, with a hint of the style of the "Lost Colony" music from Sonic Adventure 2 (which I've finally been able to play on an emulator of the Dreamcast :D).
It has an ending that feels like an ending but also loops seamlessly to the beginning (it's all in the drums ;)).  It's also very organ heavy (hammond style organs with cool LFOs).

Incidentally this is the first song where I was able to use the FL Maximus plugin to increase the volume without making it sound terrible.

The screenshot is from my level "7-up" which will be in my D2X-XL demo set and will probably use this song.  Incidentally, you can see how the level got its name (all the "water" in the map looks like that).

EDIT: I forgot to say that both this and StarLite were made with my keyboard, not just writing the music into FL Studio.
StarLite February 28, 2011, 09:46:47 AM 366 1
This is an "experiment" with a different kind of buildup.  Building drama instead of action.
Music wise it's Techno D&B with some rock elements, and it's similar to Star Forest.   If it and Star Forest tell stories, this one would come first.

EDIT: I changed the name to something that fits much better and reuploaded the file with updated ID3 tagging.
Raptor (Pelorus Electro Rmx) February 14, 2011, 08:30:17 PM 600
A loose remix I made of the Pelorus theme from Obsidian, mostly keeping the same feel with totally different music and instrumentation and in the electro genre... but the beginning should be recognizable to anyone who's played through Obsidian (level 8, if you're not good with level names).

Raptor (as in a bird of prey) is the word that comes to mind when I listen to the original midi file from the game, and the "Raptor" feel is how I kept with the original feel.
To understand how I interpreted that feel... you are the raptor.

The original midi song was by Verran Eventide.
