Music from Descent 2, Credits
Original Track: "Credits" by Dan Wentz

And that concludes all of the Vintage Dreams project I've been putting off for five years now. I'd like to make a new variation of each world (a Quartzon mix, Brimspark, Limefrost spiral) for each of the 4 songs, but I've been very busy lately. Got my CDL 3 years ago and drive trucks now, got engaged two years ago, and lost my father last year. Lots of changes. I simply don't have time to devote to Descent related stuff lately. I still pop Descent music on every now and then, of course. Y'all be good! Hopefully I get the D2 files done before 2030?

A slow electro-rock song that just goes to prove how much I like harpsichord.
Oddly for me, this song is not from the point of view of a ridiculously powerful gauss-cannon-of-life carnivoran struggling to come to terms with a sudden transformation (because he used to be a man!  Before he got in THEIR way...) or losing some personal battle regardless of their gauss-cannon-of-life-ish level of power.  Though it's still not from a human point of view.  Why would I write something boring like that?
It's from the point of view of a completely-normal-in-power-level beached dolphin determined to return to the sea.  And in the end, the music implies he actually succeeds.  How about that for a change?  Flying makes a return as a metaphor -- for swimming, because if all you ever know is the sea, is there really a big difference?
And apparently this dolphin likes harpsichord.

It's worth noting that all the industrial sound effects in the background are from D3, a robot sound (the Sickle bot's motor sound) and a falling rock sound.  These sounds were too quiet to hear in-game (which makes you wonder why they were there in the first place).  It could still have legal implications though.
The Volcano -- Mercury posted by Kaiaatzl in My Warp Shockwave Soundtrack January 29, 2011, 10:47:18 AM 513 1
Level 5 -- probably the most impressive fire level ever built in any Descent.  Also probably the level that Warp Shockwave is famous for.

This song was meant to be a mix of the styles of D1's game06 and D3's "Shotgun" (both songs were only in levels that were on Mercury ;)), with some influence from Luke Schneider's work on the Entropy Experiment.  Warp Shockwave follows the same storyline as the Entropy missions.  If I remember right I was kind of thinking of the volcano level when I made this and I thought some music in the style of the Entropy missions would be fitting.
