Without breaking the restriction, are you able to speak entirely with questions? Can you answer questions with questions? Can you express a command but not include usual punctuation as command sentences do? May I point out an example?
Person #1: How are you on this fine day?
Person #2: Could one not tell from the smile on my face that I am doing just dandy? And how do you fair?
Person #1: Could one conclude the same?
Person #2: I know, right? So what are you going to do today?
Person #1: Would you agree that it would be a good day to go to the beach and eat ice cream?
Person #2: Would I not be human if I didn't?
So, as you can see, could this be possible to keep up throughout an entire conversation? Can we really respond with a question EACH TIME another question is thrown at us? Can we keep up the question response trend here? What say you?
-
This would be a curious experiment? No?
-
Will I do it even better? Will I dispense with the letters and words and speak entirely in punctuation?
???
?

?
-
You do it better? You think anyone else can do any better?
-
What, by speaking in punctuation, do you mean of this half-arrow with question marks?
-
Can we really call this a conversation?
-
Would calling it an experiment be better?
-
What happens if someone stops posting in the form of questions? Is an interrobang (http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/Interrobang?s=t) an acceptable way to end a sentence in this thread?
-
Do you really want to know? Do you even know how horribe that would be?
-
Can we really call this a conversation?
It is a conversation if it's a response that ends in a question, is it not? It is a challenge; to end every sentence with a question even though it is a response, yet, it is doable with proper manipulation of the English language could not one conclude?

I would think an interrobang would be an appropriate method of responding to a question if the answer causes frustration, because let's face it, wouldn't your head hurt trying to think of an adequate response in question form? Would it not conjure up a "WHAT?!" response once in a while?
Would calling it an experiment be better?
Yes, I do agree with this statement, and don't you think it would be interesting to see how far one could carry it on?
So how is everyone's weekend so far? I stayed up late last night as usual and went to Cracker Barrel for breakfast, but I wonder; was that waitress at Cracker Barrel single? Why did I forget to check if she had on a ring? I've also been playing Legend of "Zelda: Link's Awakening" on Game Boy, which in my opinion is one of the most emotional story lines in the Zelda series, is it not? And WHY is spell check telling me "Zelda" is misspelled?! (There's your I interrobang, Wraith, is it not?)
-
You find it strange that I recently just played the original, sequel (NES), and Twilight Princess?
-
That's pretty cool, but which one is your favorite Zelda game? Have you ever played Link's Awakening? The ending is so emotional, I think one would not be human if they did not shed a tear during that ending, however, everyone reacts differently, wouldn't you think so?
-
Have you ever played my favorite two, the original and twilight princess? Is that other game you mentioned any fun?
-

I don't know, would I say so? Do you think I would say so?
Do I think I would say so?
Is this thread really so fun that it's the only thread active on PD for the past few days, or is there some other reason?
-
It's OK, I presume, to have never played any of those?

Could it be because it is thought provoking and challenging?

I have not played the original as I was always into the Mario series back then, but hey, why not? Link's Awakening, which came out right after A Link to the Past but on Game Boy, was really well written as far as the story line goes, so why not give that a try? It was originally made for Game Boy in 1993, and redone in 1998 for the Game Boy color, so it may be a little hard to find, but can you say "eBay?" What was the name of that website that had all those classic games? I believe it's been referenced here before for where to go to scoop up a copy of Descent, but why can I not think of the name of that website? Was it only for classic computer games, and excludes console systems?
-
It's OK, I presume, to have never played any of those?
Of course, but do you have any idea what you're missing out on? What are your favorite types of games?
I could have just edited my last post to include this there, but I am lazy; am I not?
-
I shall now be mean and post a statement instead of a question. :evil grin:
-
Did I just hear a discordant comment in the background? A bit like annoying static on the radio, am I right?
Descent, Treadmarks, and Jetpack Joyride (for iPad) are what I typically play (when I actually sit down to play a game), I believe? To kill time, I've got a strangely addictive version of Solitare on the iPad?
-
No one mentioned my old classic "Call of Duty" game? Can you blame me though that my interest in Call of Duty is slipping because my friend who loved playing it with me, left? Can you blame me for not playing much anymore? Can you blame me because a new life awaits me? I speak the truth, but why do I sense you won't believe me? How can one be in this forum for so long and still not be trusted? Do you know the reason I am asking so many questions is because I have been gone a day? I ask, is that really a reason to ask so many questions? Well, what do you think?
Is it really possible I am about to break 1000 posts, playing this silly game?
-
Is it really that silly if we invent an awesome new form of conversation in the process? And did we not establish earlier that this is not a game or conversation but rather an experiment? On an unrelated note to my previous two statements, what makes a game a classic anyways? Gamers everywhere rant about game design going downhill, but has it really? Or will the games ranted about now become classics in the future? Would it not be possible that MD-1032 himself is an avid fan of a game that today is loathed for it's graphics over gameplay design?
-
Isn't it funny how this topic was dead for over 12 hours and the moment I decide to reply, someone else replies?
Do games that change the way we play become the classics? Or are they merely just games that everyone knows? Is it possible that no one has ever played Doom?
-
I have never played Doom, but is not Descent an adequate example of a classic FPS? As I strongly prefer games featuring vehicular combat (and I don't own Doom), isn't Descent the closest possible thing, as stated even by the manual? How did graphics become more important than fun, balanced gameplay anyways?
-
Could it be, the users of this forum are asking more questions than any other forum?
-
What DOES constitutes a classic? Aren't the games we played growing up, well known or not, classics to us in our own eyes?
And yes, Wraith, I do believe that after being confined to the restriction of only asking questions that it does seem to evolve into a new method of conversing, does it not? The questions answer logic, don't you think? Since there are no periods at the end of any of these sentences, statement sentences must end in a rhetorical question, don't you see?
I think I just may type this way online for the rest of my days, and where's the harm in that? I'm challenging myself to write differently by ending in question form, aren't I?
-
Do you want wraith to answer those questions?
-
Would you please stop speaking on questions? If I commanded you do so?
I believe I just satisfied part of the OP, did I not?
I've never been much of a legend of Zelda player, am I strange? Though I think it fairly self-explanatory to say I played descent, no? I wonder if playing descent again might be a good cure for the stress certain video games in combination with a long hard day can create?
-
I'm challenging myself to write differently by ending in question form, aren't I?
Are you really doing anything differently, or are you just adding a question at the end? Is it really enough, to call it a question, if you just add "aren't I?" or "did I not?" at the end of a statement?
-

In this format I don't see why not because since the challenge is to speak in entirely question form, then to respond to an ACTUAL question, one should end it in rhetorical form, shouldn't they? But the art aspect of this comes out when you choose different ways to end statement sentences, don't you see?
-
Canadians have an even better way, eh?
-
Canadians have an even better way, eh?
You think?! I was asking myself, "Shouldn't this be easy for Kiaatsel to do?" Eh? Now, does that not make me laugh out loud or what?
-

Wouldn't it be more artistic to ask a more natural sounding question, like this one for example?
As opposed to 'It would be more artistic to make a statement then add eh?' huh?
-
does anyone else agree with WillyP and I?
-
Is it alright that I fully agree with both of you?
-
Can you handle it?

Of course that's more artistic and creative than just adding "eh?" at the end of a sentence, but can you explain Canadians?
-
IKR?
-
What?
-
Did you have to look IKR up on urban dictionary like me, Darkwing?
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=IKR (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=IKR)

Yeah, isn't that crazy? Does that make "IKR" an Internet geezer acronym? I mean, who uses that acronym anymore? ;D
-
Isn't sarcasm fun?!
-
???
-
;D <-- Am I LMAO or what?
-
Man how long has it been since i've last been here? A year? The look of PD has changed a bit, hasn't it?
-
Eagle, How ya been?
-
How do you say "hiya Eagle" in the arrangement of a question?
Oh wait, never mind... :P
-
Can I whack eagle repeatedly over the head for being on-topic?
Or do you think I should just eat him?
Or just welcome him back and be done with it?
-
Oh wait, never mind... :P
Uh-oh, is that a question?
-
Do you even need to ask? does everyone know what day this is?
-
Do I know what day this is? Is the answer to this question "yes"?
-
Two days ago, did you tell someone, "May the FOURTH be with you"?
-
I did, if Scyphi can verify?
-
did anyone remember that on the 6th of May, two people who go to this forum is now one year older?
-
Oh wait, never mind... :P
Uh-oh, is that a question?
Seeing that I did not finish the statement (hence the "...") I would think that I could call it an unfinished question and still get away with it, no?
I did, if Scyphi can verify?
Why do I have to verify?
-
did anyone remember that on the 6th of May, two people who go to this forum is now one year older?
YOU'RE NOT MY UNLUCKY NUMBER ANYMORE?!?!?!?!?! CAN I GET A WOO-HOO? Did you have a happy birthday?
-
You don't fancy 29? Do you think I had a great time if I post a :) in this forum?
-
If I didn't would this not be for you?
-
Are you just being sarcastic?
-
Isn't there a lot of sarcasm in this thread?
-
Huh?
wtf is goin on?
-
Who are you? Is this your first post?
-
Yes, why do you ask?
-
Who? What? When? Where? Why? How? HUH?!
-
Why is nobody answering my question? :(
-
Is this become a +1 thread?
-
How do you mean?
-
+1 what? Is it plus one for being a topic about nothing at all?
-
Why is nobody answering my question? :(
Surely you realize that we would ahve to answer your question with another question, right?
-
Of course, but how can you imply that it has been answered when it in fact has not been answered?
-
+1 what? Is it plus one for being a topic about nothing at all?
Don't you know that a +1 thread is a thread people post in just to get +1 post count while adding no real content?
-
Is that what this is? That thought had not occurred to me, did you?
-
Why is it that I get the impression that Alieo is...
..disappearing? :o
-
is he disappearing more so than me?
-
is he disappearing more so than me?
You're disappearing? :o
-
Who's disappearing?
-
Why is it that I get the impression that Alieo is...
..disappearing? :o
What makes you think that?
-
Losing his sight?
-
Is NOK dissipating? :D
-
Did I miss anything while I was gone?
-
No, NOK is going through some crazy metamorphosis, but will he come back blue?
-
why blue? peaceful color or sad?
-
That reminds me of an AP English joke. A teacher asks a question about these blue curtains. "Explain why the curtains are blue in this short story."
The student answers, "The blue curtains represent the sad undertones within the main character who is experiencing depression and-"
The author interrupts, "no, the curtains are blue!"
We murder to dissect.

CAN WE NOT CONCLUDE, FOLKS, THAT THE QUESTION POLICE WILL BE SHOWING UP AND ISSUING 6 CITATIONS FOR SPEAKING OUT OF QUESTION FORM?
-
No, don't you think that the gravity police have a bigger beef with this community?
Do I think I agree with NZ's joke?
-
IS THIS NOT MY 600th POST?! w00t?! w00t?!
-
No it isn't your 600th post...
...
...
...
...
...
eh?
-
WHAT?! How did THAT happen?
-
WHAT?! How did THAT happen?
Could it have been ... math?
-
Did techpro change avatars or did someone hack into his account?
-
What show was his old avatar from anyway?
-
The Incredibles. And it was a movie. I can't remember which character it was though...
-
The Incredibles. And it was a movie. I can't remember which character it was though...
IS THAT NOT 3 NON-QUESTION VIOLATIONS?!
-
Oh, this is that topic. :D
Sue me. ;D
-
Can we get two more citations for Kiaatsel?
-
(http://test.rantthisspace.com/files/gif/ban.gif)?
-
shall we use the smite button instead?
-
That would work, got a pic? Should we start a thread for speaking only with pics?
-
(http://whattoreview.files.wordpress.com/2012/01/smite_button.jpg)?
-
Is that a question, TechPro and WillyP?
-
Don't you see the question marks? Doesn't that make it a question?
-
Am I not asking if WillyP likes the graphics?
-
Yes I did notice the question marks? I am also pleased with your sentence structure?
-
Yes I did notice the question marks? I am also pleased with your sentence structure?
Can you say WRONG?
-
Yes, I can say WRONG?
-
Since when does sticking a question mark on the end make something a qualifying question?
-
Since it still doesn't?
-
Could it be the case that people decide to tack on question marks to the end of statements in order to form questions because they feel that it is the cheap way out?
-
Or possibly they're just being annoying?
-
does anyone agree with me that this person just wants to ruin it?
-
I agree with me that this thread is far too popular and we should move on and talk about other things?
-
So somebody finally decided that reading all of those questions constantly was annoying like me? :o
-
Does eight pages of a thread tell you that?
-
Eight pages are not annoying, no?
-
does this mean that this forum is over? have we proved that it's possible to ask only in question form? or have we not gone far enough to prove it? Will I have great hair when I'm 60?
-
Eight pages are not annoying, no?
But doesn't a double negative make a positive?
Which means you are actually agreeing with me without any sarcasm?
-
If it bothers you, why just ignore the thread?
-
I agree with me that this thread is far too popular and we should move on and talk about other things?
Do I sense a hint of jealousy? lol
