We just recovered from a record dought down here. It dried up lakes and unearthed all SORTS of fun artifacts like indian burial grounds, slave burial grounds, railroad tracks, old 19th century tools, stone buildings, etc. But lake levels are back to normal. It's been raining non-stop since January, and we've needed that so bad! There were endless fires last year.

Ditto that, we had such an unusually mild winter this year...but at the same time, it is nice to see spring coming nonetheless, as Techpro said.

Well the snow is completely gone here, even piles where the snowplows piled it up and it's mostly been raining.

I'm in Idaho which gets more of this than Utah.
I think I saw that in the paper. I think he says he hates spring, something of the sort

@ Vanguard: the strip's been edited. It's the latest fad in regards to Garfield...probably because the readers can be funnier than the actual writers for the strip often times. :P

there was one from family circus that I thought was 'different'.
something about one kid with another, looking at a picture of one of the kids as a baby. Line went something like "that was you when you were cute. What happened?" The look on his eyes were a bit odd too.

That's true, but not by me. I would have used "Idaho" instead of "Utah" and it would have been (IMHO) a lot funnier and a lot more accurate.

Our kitchen thermometer is so confused it's not showing the temperature anymore for fear that it is probably wrong. It's showing the time instead.

Actually, most of the Canadians I've met seem to be just as American as the next guy, so I can at least understand some of the confusion.
