Title: Thinking of an OLD DOS or Win based game

This will bug me until I figure out what the name is, sorry.

It's an old game, DOS or Windows. assuming windows though. I know part of the name "C.H.A.O.S.".

I think you're looking for "Realms of Chaos"

thanks, but no on all three. not a fighting game, or war. it's like a puzzle like game.

Ah, that looks a bit like Iron Helix (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iron_Helix).  I think I still have that one around somewhere...

never heard of that one. Quite honestly, I don't even know how I came across owning the CHAOS game. I don't think I played it much, only a couple times, and only towards the beginning.

Funny in a way, isn't? How much I remembered that game, or the beginning anyway, and knew part of the name. And there's some I played a lot and can't remember much of it.
