A Material Defender's daily job requires entry to reactor areas. Flare fever is a common side effect, resulting after exposing to high radiation and... Flares!

I had a flare battle with S13DriftAZ a couple days ago...
His flares ended up igniting my fuel leak...

I've managed to hit myself with flares too :P Or ram into a flare on a wall ahrd enough that it transferred to my ship D:

It's really easy to flare yourself. Just flare the wall and slide around touching the flare until it sticks.

Flare-catching (shooting a flare down a hallway and flying past it so it hits you) is actually a pretty good way to practice tri-chording + ab-pulsing. If you can do it in a Phoenix, you're getting there. If you can do it in a Pyro-GL, you're pretty fast. [I'm not sure if it's possible in a Magnum-AHT.]

This reminds me of a netgame me, Techpro, and I believe Foil (dunno if he remembers) did once during which all combat deevolved into shooting each other with flares.
Even though we really weren't doing that much damage to each other, it was still pretty fun. :)

I get a lot of stick for throwing flares around in Veins trying to get that extra 1 shield. ;D

I can't remember if any of us managed to get in a kill shot...it at least took awhile...I believe we were all fairly freshly spawned when the flare war started. :P
