I just noticed today when going to make a post, and then deciding against it, that there is no button to click on to "cancel" making a post. I went back a page to avoid it, and everything seems okay, but I always worry I'm going to mess something up when doing that.
Unless we think that there's no cause for concern, I put in the request for a cancel button for posts. :)
-
Hmm... He's right. There isn't any cancel.
I agree with Scyphi's reasons for now wanting to use the browser back function, though that does work perfectly well.
-
There would be two ways to make a cancel button, it would either cause the browser to go back one page, a 'Back' button labeled 'Cancel' or it would link to another page, such as the forum main directory. Neither would do anything either the back button in your browser or the 'Forum' link in the menu bar doesn't already do.
When you start a post, nothing is sent to the server until you click 'post'.
-
Okay, so in other words, don't sweat it, huh? :)
-
Exactly!
All those deep, dark secrets you were about to reveal, are safely hidden only on your local machine if you have a change of heart and hit the back button... only accsesible to hackers, crackers and other nefarious types who have found a way into your temp files. ;)
-
Temp files? I don't think it even gets that far... I could be wrong, but I believe it is only in ram until the post button is clicked.
-
I think you're right, I was only messin' with him. :-[
-
I hope he gives you a power-down for that!
-
Lol ;)
-
Nah, he doesn't believe in them.
-
That's right, I don't. :D
And I'm more likely to give him a power-up, that post actually made me laugh. :P
-
Thanks for the thought, anyway... Heh, I just gave you another power up for being a good sport!
