A good friend from Planet Descent gave it to me, he goes by the nick name of Kaiaatzel ;)

No it's a backup of the rtf the Storyline of D4 invasion :)

It's a copy of the original of course but the story is original none the less :)  I just placed it on a floppy disk so I won't lose it :)
Heh. You might not lose it, but the real question is will you be able to read it?
Oh yes I can, the Floppy I used is in good shape, I also have placed a backup of it on my server ;)

Some fun games, but I couldn't hold onto too many games. I am quite a minimalist. not bragging or saying I'm right. It's only a preference, and I don't like a lot of stuff around.

I love it, it's the game it's self I truly interest over playing it, Descent like Freespace were both original of their own :) To collect these speciffic games was my goal and yeah kinda proud that I did do this. I don't like bragging off either really, that is totally not my thing.

Right but you'll have to hang on to an old computer forever if you want to have a floppy drive to put it in.

Not necessarily.  USB floppy drives (at least the 3.5" flavor) are fairly common and cheap.

With SD cards, usb, cds, dvds, blu ray, cloud/server, external hds, whatever else is out there, im surprised the floppies are still being made. That's only 1.4 MB. That's nothing now.

My Software Engineering professor has stacks upon stacks of 3.5in diskettes in his office at my university.
Some people are like Slinkies. They aren't really good or even useful for anything but they always manage to put a little smile on your face when you give them enough of a push down the stairs.

They're probably old student disks.  I remember using 3.5" disks to turn in programming assignments back in '96 or so.

I remember using linux back in '06, but not floppies on it. Been a while for me. Any data can just end up on something else.

I have lots of PC's lol three of them have functional FDD Drives, I don't see the need to hassle about that :P it's that I found it a waste to spoil such little info to use an entire CD heh, don't worry it's safe kept like this. my Flppy is indeed 1.44MB to be precise the file is just a few KB, so I see no issues with this solution :)

I just use flash memory sticks for everything now, I don't even bother with CDs anymore unless there's something I want to play in a CD player :P.

about the same here, USB mostly. but I will have a CD backed up with my data, just in case the USB goes bad.
I don't do clouding at all, with the exception of maybe amazon MP3 cloud.

USB sticks can fail the same as a Floppy can, as for the cloud? I'd never trust that, it can be hacked and the chance of data loss is greater than on a safe home network which is connected to the internet via a router/switch, the cloud is also a much more interesting and larger target for hostiles, thus due to that the chance is greater for data loss, so as my D4 RTF goes, it's safer on a Floppy Disk within my collection :)
Also I have locked the Floppy Disk, so it can't be overwritten 8)

I'm thinking of the old "put tape over the hole to unlock it" trick. Can now be overwritten  8)

I don't trust cloud either. Someone could hack into it. Server down, or my internet.
music doesn't seem to private.
